Thus, there is now a variety of AI detector programs designed to try and identify content created by AI. They can analyze text, images, videos, and audio by using linguistic and semantics features, comparing to existing datasets, looking for statistical patterns in word choice, and more.

AI detectors are often used by educators to tell if an essay or assignment was written by AI, along with business owners and online content moderators to help remove fake product reviews and other spam content.

Keep in mind, however, that these detectors are still experimental and are generally considered to be somewhat unreliable with their results. Many detectors provide estimates of what percentage of the content may have been generated by AI, providing some context to the test.
